Be As You Are is one of two small but powerful mixed media pieces, created on 8 by 8 inch canvas using acrylics, spray paint, chalk, torn collage paper, and reworked canvas scraps. The raw, layered materials speak to the beauty of imperfection—of embracing the mess, the process, and the self as it is.

This piece is a visual reminder to release expectations and let go of the need to perform. It invites the viewer to stand in their truth, just as they are—unfinished, evolving, and wholly enough.

Be As You Are was donated, along with its companion piece, to the Beaumont Gallery Studios in Vancouver, BC, in support of their 20th Anniversary Fundraiser. These works were gifted in the spirit of community, creativity, and the ongoing journey of becoming.
