Hallucinating Dreams is a vibrant, layered mixed media piece sealed in a high-gloss resin finish. Its surface is alive with color, movement, and texture—capturing a surreal energy that draws the viewer in. Amidst the brightness, however, stands a single dark figure. Quiet but undeniable.

This figure is not my own reflection, but rather a representation of something darker—a person or presence from the past that once cast a shadow. I do not claim it. Instead, it stands as a symbol for the viewer to interpret through the lens of their own experience. Who or what does it remind you of? What does it stir up, standing there among all the life and color?

To me, Hallucinating Dreams is about the contrast—the coexistence of light and shadow. It’s a reminder that even with the presence of darkness, life continues to move forward. And within that, we are always given a choice: how we carry the past, and how we choose to grow beyond it.
